The 2019-2020 NYC Public School Calendar

In any city, knowing when kids will have off from school is important. In New York, it’s crucial. The NYC Department of Education released the 2019-2020 school calendar–which many local preschools follow, as well–so you can know when schools will be closed ahead of time and plan vacations, outings, appointments, and more ahead of time.

Update: All NYC area schools are currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. If your NYC student needs an internet-enabled iPad to assist him with online learning, click here.

The NYC DOE announced that summer school sessions will be conducted remotely as well. This will allow more students to have access to the academic support they need and a bridge from this school year to next, according to the DOE.
