Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving at your place or going somewhere else, let your kids be part of the big day by helping you make a fun centerpiece. Here are three easy ideas that will keep your toddler busy and entertained. The best part is that it will add meaning to your Thanksgiving table!
Apples Vases. This simple yet elegant centerpiece idea from Real Simple is an easy one for the kids to help out with. Simply fill up a few glass vases with water and have your toddler gently plunk in some shiny green apples. For more details, click here.
Fall Leaf Display. This idea from HGTV is lovely and meaningful. First, have kids collect some colorful leaves and branches from your yard or nearby park (or, make some pretend leaves out of construction paper). Then, have them write on each leaf something they are thankful for before attaching the leaves to the branches as described here.
Crayon Centerpiece. This centerpiece looks adorable and will keep kids occupied, too. Kids help make it by sticking the crayons into a styrofoam ball–making it look like a “crayon turkey”– which you can then display in the center of the table. Put out pieces of paper or coloring place mats before and after dinner to keep kids occupied! For instructions, click here.
