The MOMS

Last Wednesday, New York Family joined some lucky New York mamas for a morning of pampering in midtown Manhattan, courtesy of The MOMS, a multi-platform brand created by Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein. The MOMS can be found on television as contributors to the HLN show “Raising America,” and on the radio as Sirius XM stars of their program, “The MOMS with Denise and Melissa.”

The accomplished pair greeted a lively group of ladies at the beautiful Salon Today on West 55th Street. Petite pastries and bubbly mimosas preceded manicures and pedicures over chatter about motherhood, vacation hopes, and more! Plus, guests were all given the opportunity to enter their names to win an all-inclusive, luxury vacation for a family of four.

Dreams Resorts and Now Resorts reps were also on the scene to share the contest details and give the scoop on what’s new at their gorgeous destinations in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica–tropical locals that any family would love to get away to! Thanks to The MOMS, we got to enjoy a little bit of paradise right here in Manhattan.

Collina Italiana - Italian Language and Cultural Center

Italian Fun for Kids and Teens!

Learning a new language isn’t just fun—it’s also great for the brain! Did you know that it can help develop essential skills for life? Studies show that learning a second language at a young age can improve problem-solving, critical thinking, and listening abilities, while boosting memory, focus, and multitasking skills. Children who are fluent in multiple languages also demonstrate increased creativity and mental flexibility.

At Collina Italiana, we make learning fun with stories, games, activities, and conversation. Each class blends art, storytelling, singing, and dancing to keep kids engaged. For older children, our classes focus on grammar and vocabulary, providing the tools they need to learn and practice Italian in a small group setting, all while having fun with a variety of resources. Kids love exploring the stories behind our cultural traditions, adding a rich, hands-on experience to their language learning journey.
