Bryant Park’s Winter Village is a family classic, but Amazon is bringing a little winter wonderland to Union Square on July 25 with its Holiday in July event. The event will feature performances from several groups that kids will love, food and drink tastings, and most importantly, several Instagram-friendly spaces where you can showcase your Christmas in July spirit.
First up in Thursday’s schedule is a special story time reading with Judy Schachner, author and illustrator of “Skippyjon Jones.” Then kids will be delighted by a performance from Laurie Berkner, People magazine’s “Queen of Kids Music.” Then two-time Grammy nominee Morgan Taylor will perform, followed by a cooking demo with Chef Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster Harlem at 5:30pm.
Want to experience something more laidback than performances? Check out the Whole Foods cheese tasting, sip iced coffee from Alexa Shopping, and have fun with beauty touch-ups and samples. Kids can also shop back to school supplies, a playroom full of goodies, and more. The whole family can probably find a product they love that is debuting on Amazon next season.
Holiday in July is free and open to the public, no RSVP required, at 5 E. 17th St.
