Amy Rosen Cooking By Design, an at-home cooking lesson service and cooking birthday party provider, is now offering larger parties for 40-50 kids, as of this spring. In addition to offering parties to larger groups, Rosen will also offer services to families having parties at large venues such as country clubs, churches, or temples.
“Instead of doing a dance party at a bar mitzvah, we’re doing cooking parties, because sometimes people want to do something different, and not everyone is a big dance person,” says Rosen.
Party themes with Amy Rosen Cooking By Design include Cupcake Wars, chocolate making, pizza making, and Chopped-Style cooking competitions. Rosen also offers special parties for younger chefs where she guides them through the culinary process step-by-step as well as 2-hour private cooking lessons where the whole family can learn together.
“Rather than go out to dinner, you cook a whole meal and eat together,” Rosen said, ”You can come up with a special menu, cook it, and eat it so you get to see the fruits of your labor.”
Rosen’s secret is to always use only the most organic and freshest ingredients.
“Cooking is my passion, and I think it shows in everything I do,” Rosen said. “My birthday parties, my private lessons, my after-school programs. I love what I do and it really comes through.”
