Goat Yoga is Coming to Brooklyn!

Yoga with baby goats is coming to Brooklyn and we could not be more excited. You might have heard about this adorable trend on social media and now New Yorkers can give it a try first hand.

Sharon and Aldo Boustani, founders of NY Goat Yoga, started the concept at their Gilbertsville Farmhouse, and starting April 17 they will be bringing the class to Bushwick for a two-month stay. Children ages 12 and older are welcome to join the class that is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm and 7pm.

“Goat yoga is about wellness, but it is also about connection and community,” Sharon told Time Out NY. “We love the fact that this class instantly breaks the ice and connects a group of 40 strangers. The goats help us to disconnect from stress and worries, and remind us not to take life too seriously.”

The classes are 45-minutes long and cost $40 and are designed for beginner Yogi’s. Bring your own yoga mat, water bottle, and cell phone because goat-selfies are encouraged!

The mission of our Brooklyn Pop-Up studio is to teach yoga and to educate our students on the benefits and healing powers of human-animal connection. Goats are animated, curious, intuitive and gentle animals. They enjoy human interaction and not only connect with humans, but help humans connect with each other,” says the website.

Classes are sure to fill up quickly so be sure to reserve your spot well in advance. We can’t wait to try this out!
