Carnival Cruise Line operates 24 ships across a myriad of destinations including the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico, and Alaska. While many people may be familiar with the Carnival brand, what they may not know is that Carnival has amazing food and drink options. Aboard the Carnival Conquest, you’re literally on a floating culinary vacation. It has plenty of restaurants, bars, and lounges that serve up great dishes and drinks, some for kids, some for adults and many for both. Here are a few of our favorites.
Restaurants on the Carnival Conquest
Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast
This spot is always a favorite for my kids. From the classic green eggs and ham to the funky French toast, this character breakfast provides one-on-one interactions with all the Dr. Seuss favorites including The Cat in the Hat and his friends.
Ol’ Fashioned BBQ
With options like braised pork butt, smoked beef, and dry-rubbed grilled chicken, it’s hard not to love this place. Not only are the mains pretty tasty, but there are plenty of sides such as mac-n-cheese, molasses baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad.
Steakhouse
From premium mouthwatering cuts of beef, to amazing seafood dishes and great apps, this place is ideal for date night or the whole family. The kids menu is so good, adults may want to order from it.
Seafood Shack
This New England-inspired eatery boasts great food and great views. From classic lobster rolls to innovative crab cake sliders, fish and chips, and the fried seafood platter (a sampler of fish, shrimp, clams, and calamari), this is the place for those who love anything (and everything) that comes from the sea.
Guy’s Burger Joint
This is one of the most popular culinary destinations on the ship and for good reason. It was created in partnership with Food Network personality and chef Guy Fieri, and the burgers and hand-cut fries are unbelievably good. Don’t be surprised if you keep coming back again and again (and again).
BlueIguana Cantina
This restaurant has a loyal following of Mexican food aficionados, serving up authentic-tasting tacos and burritos all day long. Be sure to try their breakfast options, they do a nice spin on breakfast burritos.
The Punchliner Comedy Club
Along with some very talented comedians, this comedy club puts a humorous twist on brunch. Plus, the drink selection is pretty extensive.
Cherry on Top
For those who have a sweet tooth, you’ll find what you’re craving for here. There are plenty of choices of candies and other sweet treats.
Bars on the Carnival Conquest
RedFrog Rum Bar
When the kids are in camp, this is the place to hit. This laid-back, open-air, Caribbean-themed watering hole has a nice selection of rum-based frozen drinks and beers, including Carnival’s private label draft brew ThirstyFrog Red.
BlueIguana Tequila Bar
A “rival” across deck from RedFrog, this bar specializes in Mexican beers. They also have a nice selection of frozen and mixed drinks.
Alchemy Bar
This is the bar to visit to create your own custom cocktail (under the guidance of expert mixologists, of course). There are a plethora of drink flavors and ingredients from which to choose.
EA SPORTS Bar
For anyone who is a sports fanatic, this is the area for you. You can see live sporting events on large-screen TVs, follow all the scores on the 24/7 sports ticker, and even play popular EA SPORTS video games.
