The new NBA flagship store (in partnership with NBAStore.com’s operator Fanatics.com) may be the perfect birthday-party destination for the young basketball enthusiast. Located on Fifth Avenue at 45th Street, the NBA store consists of 25,000 square feet covering three floors.
However, this is more than just another sport store. With cool historical memorabilia, interactive product displays and the largest in-store collection of NBA and WNBA merchandise, the NBA store provides a shopping experience for fans of professional basketball.
The MVP Birthday Party at the NBA store is designed to provide young sports fans with a unique NBA experience. Over the course of an hour-and-a-half, young fans are treated to a one-of-a-kind experience.
On entering the store, the first thing the birthday child will see is their name flashing on the 1st floor Jumbotron (the 2nd floor Jumbotron features their name and a personalized birthday message). The party then heads up the escalator to a dedicated private space featuring basketball-themed party supplies.

The main feature of the birthday party may be the scavenger hunt, which sends the children–in two teams each equipped with their own coach–all over the store in search of cool items such as Carmelo Anthony’s rookie picture or Stephen Curry’s life-sized bobblehead. For the duration of the party, attendees have exclusive use of the pop-a-shots and the dedicated PS4 machines.
