My Brooklyn Basketball Summer Camp Experience
Do you ever dream of playing basketball like your favorite NBA or WNBA player? At Brooklyn Basketball Summer Camp, you get to do just that. The coaches are awesome and teach you how to shoot, dribble, and pass in a fun and positive environment. They are dedicated, patient, and make sure that we get the attention we need to improve our skills. Whether you’re just starting out or are already a star player, everyone’s welcome!
Brooklyn Basketball Summer Camp is not just a summer camp; it’s a place where young hoopers, boys and girls, come to learn, grow, and have the time of their lives. My jump shot improved…swoosh! But I also made so many close friends that I will stay in touch with all school year. I can’t wait to see them back at camp. The special, one-on-one attention the trainers give really makes a world of difference for me. During the camp, you’ll see your skills and confidence improve, but you’ll also learn teamwork and collaboration.
The coolest part? Last year, Nic Claxton, one of the Brooklyn Nets’ star players, stopped by our camp on the last day. “Clax attack at the rim!” We got to hear the inspiring story of how he accomplished his dreams, and even got to shoot around with him. Imagine learning from real NBA and WNBA legends from the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty! They are such great role models for all of us. Someday, I hope I can dunk just like Nic Claxton on a real NBA court!
I know exactly what I’ll be wearing on my first day of summer camp this year – my signed Nic Claxton jersey that I won in a free-throw shooting contest last year. That’s the other thing – at camp, you have a chance to win signed basketballs, jerseys, and real team gear. I hear we are also getting a free Brooklyn Basketball jersey on our first day.
