Three timeless tales will come to life with this audio recording and will help children with dyslexia engage with words and stories.
The Runaway Bunny, that classic story of free thinking and creativity first published in 1942 by Brooklyn-born Margaret Wise Brown, will be given a new voice this fall when GPR Records releases a version narrated by award-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The recording is part of a piano trio that also features international opera star Mark Stone singing Goodnight Moon and a special guest star narrating Poulenc’s Babar, the Elephant.
A portion of proceeds from the CD, which is set to release Nov. 15 ($19.99; gprrecords.com), will benefit the Windward School in White Plains, which is dedicated to helping dyslexic children.
“I know the importance of music and reading,” Zeta-Jones says, “and my hope is that this CD will touch and capture the imagination of a new generation.”
