City Parks Foundation’s Parent-Child Race

Combine family bonding with a little exercise and some friendly competition! This summer City Parks Foundation is offering a free parent-child race.

The Get Up & Go! Family Adventure Race hosted by City Parks Foundation will be held in Conference House Park on Staten Island on Saturday July 26, Flushing Meadows Park in Queens Saturday August 2, and Inwood Park in Manhattan Saturday August 9.

Children ages 8-10 start at 10 A.M. and children ages 11-13 start at 11 A.M. Registration is on a first come first serve basis so register while you still have time! Each team must have one parent or guardian and two children in the same age category. Once you are all set and ready to go you will take on the 12 courses! In order to move on to the next one you have to complete the first. The activities include:

-Javelin throw

-Jump Rope

-Basketball Free Throw

-Hurdles

-Mini Climbing Wall
