If you are a true coffee connoisseur, you must try a cup of coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, located on the ground floor of the Ace Hotel. Featuring shelves lined with Victorian-looking knick knacks, marble flooring, chic flower arrangements and baristas wearing neckties and tweed hats, the shop offers 20 different freshly roasted varieties, but beware—the line can get quite long! Stumptown originated in Portland, and is served in coffee shops throughout the city (like Cobble Hill’s Café Pedlar, where Stumptown founder Duane Sorensen is part owner), but this is NYC’s first official Stumptown coffee bar (for now!). The shop also serves up assorted sweet and savory pastries and other delicacies. Located at 18 West 29th Street.
