Dairy Queen is turning 76 years old, and to celebrate they are giving away free cones on the 76th day of the year, March 15, 2016!
Customers can stop by their local Dairy Queen to receive a free small vanilla soft-serve cone. Limit one per customer, while supplies last.
“We want everyone to celebrate our official kick-off of spring by enjoying a signature DQ® cone on us,” said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation.
While the cones are free, donations will be happily accepted for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Dairy Queen has been partnering with the hospitals, “which raises funds to help save and improve the lives of kids treated at 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada,” for the last 30 years.
Last year, Dairy Queen raised $140,000 for the hospitals on “Free Cone Day” and gave away over 1,300 cones at each participating location. Westrum said, “We are looking to surpass those numbers this year. We can’t wait.”
Dairy Queen has raised over $100 million for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals over the years.
