“Disney Live! Three Classic Fairytales” Is Coming To The Tri-State Area This Spring

DL4PR_SnowApple_0322_2319Embark on a magical journey and let your imagination soar to new heights at “Disney Live! Three Classic Fairytales” presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt. Expect the unexpected when Mickey and Minnie find a magical storybook. As they turn the pages, the stage transforms into what they are reading: the timeless fairy tale adventures of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast.

Prepare to be captivated as these perennial Disney favorites come to life on the stage before our little eyes. This happily-ever-after adventure stars Snow White, Belle, and Cinderella, plus Prince Charming, the Beast, and Gaston will be there, too. In all, the show features over 25 beloved Disney characters that all of us little princes and princesses know and love.

DL4PR_ThreePrincess_0320_1892After chatting with Snow White herself (or Snow as I now affectionately call her), I wanted to share a special sneak preview of the top ten reasons why Disney Live! is a must-see for the whole family:

*It’s perfect for kids of all ages. The show is appealing to us kiddos since we get to see the Disney characters we know and love and our grown-ups have the opportunity to revisit stories they grew up with and can relive their childhood.

*There’s Disney scenery, stage, and costumes seem right out of a fairy tale. Everyone will be amazed by the incredible costumes designed by Tony-winner Gregg Barnes, the phenomenal set, gorgeous lighting, and spectacular special effects.

*We get to celebrate happy endings. The classic Disney story is a universal rite of passage for any youngster. These stories even take Mommy back to princess dreams and adventures and Snow White loves getting to “emote that to the audience” by teaching us that “happy endings can happen.”

*There are show stopping musical and dance numbers. Snow White loves dancing with the dwarfs since they are so cute. And as they sing “Heigh Ho” we can all sing and clap along.

PR Photo DL4_BelleBeast_FINAL*Be ready for lots of magical Disney surprises. We can’t give it all away but there are some special effects that you will be in awe of and amazed by!

*There’s live action and adventure. There is actually a “fight” scene between the Beast and Gaston. I know we will all be cheering for the Beast, of course!

*The show brings your favorite stories and Disney to you! Not everyone can get to Disney World, so the show brings Disney to New York City!

*You can learn a lesson or two: The show reminds children to always keep learning and believing since dreams do come true. Snow White reminds us to be “brave and strong in what you desire and want.”

*There’s a grand finale with all the princesses! Need I say more? It’s an interactive family show. Mickey and friends ask us questions and we get to help them! There are also sing-a-longs and everyone gets out of their seat to dance along with their favorite Disney friends. It will be sure to mesmerize all us little tykes.

DL4PR_FabsW-book_0321_0182In three words the show is sure to be amazing, interactive, and mind-blowing!

Rosetta Institute of Biomedical Research

Summer Science Camps for Tomorrow’s Medical Professionals

We offer a variety of workshops on molecular medicine for high-achieving high school
and middle school students interested in pursuing careers in medicine or related
fields, such as biomedical research, drug development, pharmacy, bioengineering, or nursing. Workshops are taught by PhD-level instructors with years of research and teaching experience. Camps are offered in summer and winter and there are online and in-person options available.

Through engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory classes, students learn normal molecular and cellular biology, and then learn how these normal processes are disrupted or distorted during the development of disease. There is a heavy emphasis on experimental design, modern drug development, and the emergence of the era of personalized medicine. To conclude the workshop, students use what they have learned to create an original research project. More broadly, workshop attendees strengthen their academic skills, build their college portfolio, and explore potential career options while making friends from around the world and experiencing college dorm life in a safe environment.

Our university-based workshops are held at Columbia University, Imperial College London, UC Berkeley, and UC San Diego, and both residential and commuter options are available. University-based workshops include Molecular Neuroscience, Molecular Biology of Cancer, Astrobiology, AI-Enhanced Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology of Aging, Neurological Bioinformatics, Molecular Immunology, Bioinformatics of Aging, and Bioinformatics of Cancer. Biomedical Research – a workshop focused on learning modern molecular biology laboratory techniques - is taught at our lab in the Bay Area, CA.

Our online workshops include Introduction to Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Medicinal Chemistry and Medical Bioinformatics. Intro to Cellular and Molecular Medicine is our entry-level workshop that is only two hours/day. Students in the Medicinal Chemistry and Medical Bioinformatics workshops learn how to use online tools to analyze biochemical data.
