Easter falls a bit early this year, but we’ve searched the city and compiled a dozen venues who are more than prepared to celebrate in March. From traditional egg hunts to cultural lessons on Easter in Ukraine, these activities offer something for families with kids of all ages. Get in on the celebrations!

Ukrainian Easter Activities @ The Ukrainian Museum

Learn about Ukrainian Easter traditions and how to make those gorgeous pysanky eggs at the Ukrainian Museum. These events are perfect for families with preteens and teenagers who’ve out grown the Easter Bunny and egg hunts.  Event dates and times differ, so check the website for more information.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt @ Lower Manhattan Community Church
11am-1pm
Join the Easter Bunny at the Lower Manhattan Community Church Egg Hunt for some free Easter fun, including age-specific egg hunts and activities for toddlers to third graders.

Egg Decorating Breakfast @ Design Sponge
9am-10:30am
Egg decorating isn’t just for kids anymore. Design*Sponge blog creator Grace Bonney is hosting an egg decorating breakfast for parents during which she’ll share her tips and techniques for creating stylish eggs.

EGGstravagent Breakfast With The Bunny @ Staten Island Zoo
9am-11am
The Easter Bunny won’t be the only animal available for photos at the Staten Island Zoo’s breakfast and egg hunt. Plus, all kids in attendance will receive a special gift to take home.

Easter Egg Hunt @ Bartow Pell Mansion Museum
10:30am-1pm
Kids ages 2-12 can hunt for eggs in the formal garden and later unleash their creative sides at the Arts and Crafts table. They’ll also have the chance to take their picture with the Easter Bunny and enjoy light refreshments.

Easter Bunny Breakfast @ Aviator Sports And Events Center
10am-2pm
It’s a morning of food and fun at Aviator Sports and Events Center. First, sit down for a buffet breakfast—which includes pancakes, eggs, mini muffins, and many more treats—then follow up your meal with an egg hunt.

March 24

Easter Egg Hunt @ The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
12pm-3pm
Your kids will get an early Easter workout at this USTA-sponsored Egg Hunt. After running for eggs, they’ll rush get to around the tennis court at a mini tennis clinic.

March 30-31

Easter Activities @ the Children’s Museum of Manhattan
10am-4pm
Kids can hunt for the hidden eggs throughout the museum, design and create eggs of their own, and learn about the meaning of Easter at CMOM. These events will be held at different time throughout the weekend, so check the museum’s website for more information.

Barnyard Easter Egg Hunt @ the Queens Farm Museum
12pm-4pm
With ongoing egg hunts, photo ops with Whiskers the Bunny, egg ring toss, and a chance to dance the Bunny Hop, there are plenty of reasons to leave city life behind and spend the day on the farm this Easter weekend.

Bunny Cupcakes @ Tastebuds Kitchen
9am-10am
You don’t always have to hunt for your Easter goodies; you can bake your own! Tastebuds Kitchen is hosting a special Easter-themed version of their CupCake Kids class, in which you and your children can create bunny cupcakes.

Clifford’s Egg Hunt @ The Scholastic Store
12pm-4pm
Forget about the bunny; it’s all about the Big Red Dog here. There’ll be eggs hunts, Easter stories, treats, and plenty of chances to take your picture with Clifford at this party.

Easter Egg Decorating Contest @ Bistro La Promenade
Brunch: 11am-3pm, Dinner: 5:30pm-10pm
Meals may get a little competitive here. While you and your family enjoy the restaurant’s special a la carte Easter menu, you can join the Easter Egg Decorating Contest for a chance to win a special gift from Chef Alain Allegretti.

Polaris Productions Theater Camp

<p>Kids will learn, rehearse, and perform the wonderful Maurice Sendak and Carole King musical, Really Rosie.
