Now that Halloween is over, the holiday season is indeed upon us, although you would never know it from the gorgeous springtime weather we will be having this week. “White”

The Drama Desk Award-nominated show, “White” last played at the New Victory Theater during a sold-out run in 2011, and it’s making its return this week! Though the show is created for very young audiences, it has stunning visuals and a witty script that is sure to entertain adults as well. In an achromatic world, Cotton and Wrinkle work to hide color. But their world is turned upside down when colors start randomly appearing. Recommended for ages 2 through 5. Tickets are $20. Runs through Sunday, November 22.

Canstruction

Canstruction is back in New York! The annual charity competition has architects, engineers, contractors, and students design and build huge structures comprised completely of unopened cans of food. The goal is to raise public awareness about world hunger while highlighting the participants’ creativity. After the competition ends, all of the canned food is donated to City Harvest. Plus throughout the competition’s run, chef instructors from the Institute of Culinary Education will present tastings and demo delicious recipes using canned ingredients. This event is free, however there is a suggested donation of one unopened canned food item. Runs through Monday, November 16.

“The Secret World Inside You” Exhibit

This Saturday, the American Museum of Natural History will debut “The Secret World Inside You,” an exhibition that explores the science behind human health, focusing on microbes—the tiny, invisible organisms that live in and on our bodies. The exhibit will take visitors on a tour of the human body, making stops at places where microbes thrive, like the skin, mouth, and gastrointestinal tract. Free with museum admission. Runs through Sunday, August 14, 2016.

“The American Revolution”

Chicago’s Theater Unspeakable will present their latest show, “The American Revolution,” this Saturday at Lincoln Center’s Clark Studio Theater. The troupe’s seven actors will reenact the entire war using just their bodies and voices, all in under an hour! Ages 7 and up are sure to enjoy this must-see experiment in creative theater. Tickets are $25.

“Mozart: Starting Small to Become Great”

The Little Orchestra Society will kick off its new children’s concert series, LOS Kids, this weekend with a tribute to the music of Mozart! “Mozart: Starting Small to Become Great” will introduce ages 3 to 7 to the genius of the Austrian composer’s works in a fun and easily understandable way. The Society’s music director, James Judd, will conduct this hour-long performance. Tickets start at $28.
