“Fly”
New Victory Theater

The New Victory Theater will present “Fly,” a theatrical adventure from the NAACP Ovation Award-winning Pasadena Playhouse, and the TONY Award-winning Crossroads Theatre Company. Set in 1944, “Fly” tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen through dance and video projection. The show focuses on four brave young men who join the first squadron of black military aviators in US history. Recommended for ages 10 and up. Runs weekends through Sunday, March 27. Tickets start at $15.

Webop Family Jazz Party: “Sophisticated Ladies”

Families with children ages 8 months to 8 years are invited to a Webop Family Jazz Party at Lincoln Center this Saturday! The Webop All-Star Band will join Ms. Patrice for a show celebrating the women of jazz. The music of greats such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughn will be performed during this one-hour concert. Audiences can sing and dance along to standards such as “Stormy Weather,” “All of Me,”, and “Struttin’.” Tickets start at $25.
“Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat”

This Saturday everyone’s favorite mischievous cat is coming to the Tribeca Performing Arts Center! Childsplay will present the National Theatre of Great Britain’s production of “Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat.” Ages 3 and up will have a ball with Sally and her brother, their fish, Thing One and Thing Two, and many other delightful Seussian characters. Tickets are $25.

Pi Day

Celebrate the coming of Pi Day (March 14) at the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) this Sunday. All ages can participate in an introductory pi demo, try their luck in an outdoor hula-hooping contest that demonstrates pi as the circular constant, and build a nine-foot “fractal circles-within-circles sculpture.” Also, at 3:30pm, Tetsuya Miyamoto will return to MoMath to reveal the secrets of his puzzle-solving logic philosophy, KenKen. This event is free with museum admission.
Annual St. Patrick’s Open Day
Irish Arts Center

Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day this year with a family-friendly celebration at St. Patrick’s Annual Open Day at the Irish Arts Center. To commemorate the feast of St. Patrick, the cultural center will open its doors for an all-ages exploration of Irish arts and traditions. Kids will learn how to play the tin whistle, speak Gaelic with the help of talented instructors, play music with Stomp and Shout New York, practice football skills with the Manhattan Gaels, and engage in many unique Irish crafts. Admission is free; reservations are recommended.
