Slip on your favorite dress and grab your binoculars, because the Rolex Central Park Horse Show is returning to New York City for the third year in a row. The event—which will take place from September 21st through the 25th—is highly anticipated amongst equestrian-lovers of NYC, as well as prominent figures nation-wide.

This year, Mark Bellissimo, founder of the horse show and CEO of the International Equestrian Group, LLC (IEG), is surprising guests with a special appearance: global sensation Frederick the Great.

Considered “the world’s most handsome horse”, this 15-year old Friesian stallion has won countless awards. With one of the longest manes of any know Friesian stallion, Frederick has acquired a world-wide following, and even has his own Facebook page and YouTube channel, with over 24 million hits. He was born in the Netherlands, and when he isn’t competing in national competitions, he resides in the Ozarks of Arkansas.

Frederick’s fame has spread knowledge about the Friesian stallion breed, and he has been approached to star in various films. In 2017, Frederick will be featured in a mini-series titled, “Frederick The Great Behind the Beauty.” Now, New Yorkers will be able to witness what his owner Stacy Nazario describes as his “outgoing and charismatic personality.”

The show itself is the first multi-day sporting equestrian event in New York City, and it features the best show jumpers and dressage riders in the world. Returning to the iconic Wollman Rink, the Rolex Horse Show will include various programs as well as daily exhibitions.

Bring the whole family to Central Park to enjoy the fun. With the second annual U.S. Open—in Jumpers, Dressage, Hunters, U25 Jumpers, and Arabians—as well as free family events, it’s a treat for you and your little ones. Activities include pony rides, equestrian demonstrations, presentations, and other activities. You may even get a glimpse of Frederick the Great!

Ticket start at $50 and all sales are final and non-transferrable. For more information about The 2016 Rolex Central Park Horse Show, visit centralparkhorseshow.com.
