Halloween & Holiday Fun With Voila Chocolat

image-2Bring the sweets this Holiday season by becoming chocolatiers at Voila Chocolat, a chocolate shop (which also offers kids classes and birthday party options) on the Upper West Side.

Whether you want to bring a gift to a holiday party or want to have sweets at home, Voila Chocolat can be your go-to spot this season. Rather than joining the ranks of chocolate shops that just sell chocolate, Voila Chocolat is a place where families can come to make their own.

Upon entering, families can participate in a 30- or 60-minute session at one of the workshop stations to make a chocolate treat with the help of a trained chocolatier. Families can choose to make truffles, chocolate shapes, lollipops (Voilallipops), barks or plaques right at the store.

Voila Chocolat was founded by owner Peter Moustakerski who wanted everyone to experience the joy that came with making chocolate. He partnered with Christophe Toury, Voila Chocolat’s master chocolatier, to create quality products that use sustainably sourced and fair trade ingredients.

To further enrich the experience, Voila Chocolat changes it flavors to correlate with the holiday seasons. Currently, the store is offering pumpkin spice truffles and pumpkin-spiced hot chocolate. Families can also make Halloween shapes such as skulls, pumpkins, and witches along with Halloween-themed chocolate plaques.

The shop is having special Halloween events for kids and adults this month. From October 24-31, children can come into the shop dressed in costumes and make Halloween-themed treats. Adults can also come in on Saturday, October 24 or October 31 from 8-10pm to participate in a class to make Jack-o-Lanterns and skulls.

The store also offers a variety of retail products that can be purchased. The experiential offerings available at the store range in price from $35-65. Families can walk-in or make reservations. The store can also hold special events, birthday parties or corporate gatherings.

The shop is located on 221 West 79th Street. You can visit their website at voila-chocolat.com.
