Hurricane Grill & Wings in Hartsdale has partnered with Greenburgh Nature Center to host weekly animal fun. The family restaurant also offers free kids’ meals to children younger than 10 during the event.

Hurricane Grill & Wings and the Greenburgh Nature Center have partnered to create a unique family dining experience in Westchester.
Since March, the Hurricane Grill & Wings in Hartsdale has been working with the Greenburgh Nature Center to offer its guests more than the standard children’s mealtime entertainment. Each Saturday, the Greenburgh Nature Center sends a naturalist to do free crafts with the children and teach them about live animals such as ferrets, snakes, fainting beetles, and bearded dragons which the nature center brings to the restaurant.
“We call it the perfect family getaway,” says Robert Tobias, owner of the Hartsdale Hurricane Grill & Wings location.
The Hurricane Grill has a laid back, Caribbean-like atmosphere, says Tobias. With pastel colors and 27 TVs, the restaurant is family friendly complete with a kid’s menu. In addition to the free entertainment, children 10 and younger also receive free kids meals from 1-3pm on Saturdays. The kid’s menu offers plates like burgers or mac and cheese and come with a side. Each meal includes a drink and then an ice cream for dessert.
The restaurant’s full menu offers a variety of options for adults as well, including items such as burgers, salads, wraps, and, of course, chicken wings. Hurricane Grill & Wings also offers a rewards program where guests can earn points to go toward discounts on future meals.
Hurricane Grill & Wings aims to keep the Saturdays with the Greenburgh Nature Center a weekly feature.
