Times Square

The bright lights of Manhattan center around Times Square. Ride the Ferris wheel in Toys “R” Us, or dine on Restaurant Row. Times Square Arts uses the billboards and vacant areas to create exciting art each month.

Become captivated by the performances that Broadway offers. The popular “Lion King” is just one of the family-friendly shows that will leave you singing.

Empire State Building

The historic landmark is more than just a structure with a view. Wander inside to see all that it holds. Visit the Dare to Dream exhibit, which is the retelling of the landmark’s history through notes, photographs, and sketches. Through an interactive exhibit, the Sustainability Exhibit, you can become educated on the building’s renovation process to reduce energy consumption. You will not want to miss the NY Skyride: Through a virtual simulator, take a narrated tour of New York without leaving the building!

Statue of Liberty

Visit the statue that represents freedom to many around the world. The popular tourist spot can become crowded during the summer season. Advanced reservations are required to visit the crown along with a good set of lungs! You must be able to walk up 154 steps in a spiral staircase. Central Park

The 843-acre park is full of monuments, playgrounds, entertainers, conservatory gardens, and so much more! Rent a boat and enjoy a relaxing day on the water or visit the Central Park Zoo where you can walk through the rainforest!

Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds’ wax figures include leaders of the world, Hollywood stars, television stars, movie characters, pop stars, sports stars, and so much more! Sofia Vergara is the latest edition to this hot spot! Take pictures with your favorite celebrities from Michael Jackson to the group members of One Direction.

Coney Island

Coney Island is home to Luna Park with the world-famous Cyclone roller coaster. For those seeking thrills, hop on line to the amusement park’s newest ride, the Thunderbolt, a 125-foot tall roller coaster. Enjoy a day of games, food, thrills, and laughs. Watch as the Brooklyn sky lights up on Friday nights with fireworks on the boardwalk.

Bronx Zoo

Metropolitan Museum of Art

Sports Stadiums

There are many stadiums located in New York that are home to several sports teams. During the fall, you will find the New York Jets and New York Giants playing football at MetLife Stadium. The newly renovated Yankee Stadium is home to the Yankees where you can catch a game, or for those Mets fans head on over to Citi Field for a day of family fun! During the long winter months, Madison Square Garden is full with Knicks and Rangers fans. For those of you that enjoy a tennis match you can visit Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Not only does Williamsburg have a great view of Manhattan, but the former artist-outpost is now a total hipster heaven (with plenty of family-friendly shopping, eateries, and more)! So why not walk across the Williamsburg bridge and indulge in some under-the-radar fun?

Basketball City

<p>Beginning June 2024, Basketball City will be running a full weekly schedule of Summer</p> <p>Basketball Camps. We will have our professional staff of coaches teaching your kids weekly.</p> <p>Our camps are designed to teach kids the skills they need to become a better basketball player</p> <p>by using specific drills and fitness work that focus on the fundamentals of the game in a fun,</p> <p>safe and inclusive environment.  The camps run weekly varying in time and the number of days</p> <p>for ages 6-17. We have 3-, 4- & 5-day options with times ranging from 9-4pm or 9-3pm. Every</p> <p>camper will receive a jersey once they are registered and arrive. We are limiting the number of</p> <p>camp participants each week to ensure a safe and healthy environment for your children. The</p> <p>limited number of campers will also ensure that your child receives individual attention needed</p> <p>to improve their basketball skills. Belle da Costa Greene: A Librarian's Legacy

<p>The Morgan Library & Museum will present a major exhibition devoted to the life and career of its inaugural director, Belle da Costa Greene (1879–1950). Widely recognized as an authority on illuminated manuscripts and deeply respected as a cultural heritage executive, Greene was one of the most prominent librarians in American history. The exhibition will trace Greene’s storied life, from her roots in a predominantly Black community in Washington, D.C., to her distinguished career at the helm of one of the world’s great research libraries. Through extraordinary objects―from medieval manuscripts and rare printed books to archival records and portraits―the exhibition will demonstrate the confidence and savvy Greene brought to her roles as librarian, scholar, curator, and cultural executive, and honor her enduring legacy.</p>
