The most amusement we’ve had so far today has been reading the very positive review of Tina Fey’s new book, “Bossypants,” in The New York Times, which offered enough sharp and funny snippets from the book to leaving us wanting more and more, and thinking that this would be a great Mother’s Day gift to anyone mom who enjoys her wit, would be interested in hearing about her journey up the largely male bastion of television comedy while also taking on the journey of motherhood.—
For those who missed it a few weeks ago, we had blogged about an excerpt from “Bossypants” that appeared in the New Yorker. There Fey focused on her present struggles to reconcile her career ambitions and responsibilities with the possibility of having another child. We suspect that as far as Bossypants go, she is probably one of the menschy ones, in that she really did seem to take her responsibility to her employees as one of the most important factors weighing on her more private debate. That post had links to lots of interesting commentary.
