On Saturday, May 19, for one day only, the Hudson River Park’s Pier 40 will transform into the ultimate competitive arena.
The annual day-long competition pits local businesses against one another in five sports to test stamina and strength. Thirty teams will go head-to-head in heats of dodgeball, kayaking, steal the bacon, basketball, and flag football. The last two standing teams will face off in a take-no-prisoners championship match.
The day, hosted by Andrea Fasano, will kick off with opening ceremonies featuring an exciting performance by the Knicks City Dancers. Once a winner is crowned, spectators will enjoy closing ceremony entertainment provided by the Marching Cobras.
Spectators will also enjoy the Games Village, where they’ll have access to food and drink, family-friendly health and wellness exhibits and booths, and have the chance to participate in “Healthy on the Hudson,” one-of-a-kind waterfront workout experiences from the most sought after trainers and boutique gyms in the city to enrich the body, mind, and soul.
Come cheer on your favorite local businesses as they strive to earn the coveted Hudson River Park Cup. All proceeds from participant entry fees and pledges will go towards Hudson River Park Friends, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the care, completion, and ongoing sustainability of Hudson River Park.
