Chase away the winter blues and welcome spring with fun activities in Brooklyn’s parks.
Families learn all about wilderness survival at the Salt Marsh Nature Center on March 4, then take a peek at the night sky during an astronomy workshop on March 10, and finally, discover interesting facts about our current weather patterns and global warming on March 25.
Children learn about the great outdoors when they meet with the Urban Park Rangers on March 24 at the Fort Greene Park Visitor Center for a nature walk.
Every parent knows the dreaded refrain, “I’m bored, there’s nothing to do.” Here’s the answer: children of all ages play games and experience common tasks of 200 years ago at the Lefferts Historic Homestead every weekend through March 31. Just a quick walk across Prospect Park at the Audubon Center, children create unique projects and have fun with games every weekend through April.
