Kids Fashion Week Recap: Bonnie Young

Luxury women’s and children’s clothing designer, Bonnie Young, put on a retro-inspired, yet ingeniously fresh, fashion show last Sunday during petitePARADE’s bi-annual Kid’s Fashion Week at Bath House Studios in the East Village.

Each model strutted the mini-runway in crisp white Adidas, while classic songs from the late 60s played. As “Mellow Yellow” by Donovan came on, the connection between the line’s abundance of fun flowers and bright colors with the revolutionary time became clear.

The simple, yet dynamic color palate of the line allowed for the focus of attention to be on the meticulous construction and the beautiful linear qualities each piece possessed.
