The 21st Kids’ Night on Broadway will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.
The annual event offers kids 18 and younger a free ticket to a participating Broadway show when they are accompanied by a full-paying adult.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 6 at 10:30am, so mark your calendars because this event is sure to sell out fast.
In addition to the free ticket, pre-theater activities and educational programs, as well as restaurant and parking discounts, are also offered. In the past, many restaurants in the Times Square area have offered free dinner entrees for Kids’ Night on Broadway ticket-holders.
The event is a program of The Broadway League. “Kids’ Night on Broadway continues to attract new audiences and highlight the fact that Broadway is a fun and informative activity for families to do together,” said Charlotte St. Martin, president of The Broadway League.
The event was “designed to introduce young people to the magic of live theatre and make Broadway accessible to a new generation of theatergoers,” according to the Kids’ Night on Broadway website.
Tickets can be purchased through the Kids’ Night on Broadway website during the on-sale period. Tickets can also be ordered by phone or by visiting the shows’ box offices. All tickets must be purchased in pairs—one for an adult and one for a child age 18 and younger.
