LEGOLAND New York Resort Will Open July 4, 2020

LEGOLAND® New York Resort just announced it will open its doors to the public on July 4, 2020, just in time for the summer season. The Goshen resort will have more than 50 Lego-themed interactive rides, shows, and attractions on seven “lands”, so kids and their families can spend whole days exploring everything the park has to offer. The park is designed for kids ages 2-12, but anyone who loves Legos is welcome to come. The resort will initially occupy 150 acres of land, but the full site is slated to occupy more than 500 acres, making it the largest LEGOLAND ever built.

The majority of the rides will be outdoor features–and many will be water-themed, perfect for summer fun–but LEGOLAND will also incorporate many indoor shows and attractions into its repertoire. Beginning in 2021, families will be able to stay at a 250-room LEGOLAND hotel, which will be Lego-themed and only a few steps away from the park.

At the park, kids can ride a dragon roller coaster, master the elements of Spinjitsu, build robots in Bricktopia, and marvel at 15,000 Lego models built by master Lego makers, according to a video released by LEGOLAND. Check out this park map for the full scope of fun.

“The Fourth of July means family,” said LEGOLAND New York Public Relations Manager Matt Besterman in a press release, “and at LEGOLAND theme parks, families can ride, climb, play, learn and build together. At the same time, kids can celebrate their own independence by riding their first roller coaster, the Dragon, or driving their first car at LEGOLAND Driving School. We’re thrilled to invite families across the northeast, the country and the world to make our theme park a tradition for summer fun.”

LEGOLAND New York Resort has three tiers of annual park passes available, on sale now starting at $119.99. Single-day passes are also available for $62.99. If your kids love Legos and would love to spend their next July 4 at LEGOLAND, head to the park’s website to your tickets–and get ready to have a Lego-filled adventure in 2020!
