Writing letters to your child for them to open years down the road is something many parents have thought about — but it can be hard to find the time to come up with a topic, and sometimes you need a little encouragement.
Artist Lea Redmond, of Leafcutter Designs, has created the perfect tool to make it easier to make a cute and thoughtful keepsake for your child (or any other child in your life!). Described on the front as a “paper time capsule,” the book is a small, portable collection of colorful letters that fold into their own envelopes. Some have prompts, like “on the day you were born,” or “what I want you to know about me,” while there are some envelopes without prompts, for you to create your own unique topics.
Each one has a “sealed on” date and “to be opened” date on the back, giving you the opportunity to record certain dates and allot times for your child to open them. There are whimsical stickers in the back of the book that say “hold for pickup,” and “special delivery,” to seal the envelopes. For anyone with a child in their lives, this is a cute and easy way to give them a piece of their history they can treasure forever.
