On September 3, the Tuckahoe-based resale boutique Lil Chameleon unveiled a drop-off care program for kids called Lil Chameleon Kids Club. Owner CC Benitez says this new feature aims to further deliver the intended purpose behind Lil Chameleon, which is helping parents and families with life’s little things, whether it’s by providing a resale spot, giving moms a space to socialize, being an affordable place for parties, hosting enrichment classes, or allowing parents to have time for other needs with the drop-off care program.
Kids Club drop-off will run a morning session from 9:30am-12pm for children ages 2-5 as well as an after-school session from 3:30pm- 6pm for children ages 3-6. In each session, kids will experience open play with a variety of toys, circle time, songs and music, games, and stories. An enrichment class will also be incorporated into each session, whether it be an arts and craft project, a science project, cooking class, ormusic and movement classes. “Mindful Monday” activities aim to build children’s positive psychology by encouraging yoga, meditation, and practices of kindness and compassion, according to Benitez.
“We really try to capture the need of the modern family with everything we're doing, whether it be getting a return on your investment, or providing some enrichment to your child, or knowing they're in a safe space for the drop-off childcare,” says Benitez.
