This summer, Marra & Glick Applied Behavior Analysts (MGABA) is expanding to New Hyde Park with a new center-based location that offers behavior intervention services using the principles of applied behavior analysis, including an interim alternative placement for home instruction for students with autism spectrum disorders. The New Hyde Park location will be unique because it will offer early intervention and preschool programming to child 18 months and older. Marra & Glick’s goal is to help its students transition back into their recommended school placements.
MGABA provides an intensive behavioral therapy through the methodologies of Applied Behavioral Analysis to help learners overcome behavior obstacles.
Applied Behavior Analysis is widely recognized as the optimal course of treatment for autism spectrum disorders, says Jean Castelli, community outreach manager at MGABA. Learners at MGABA also receive related services, such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech.
With plans to expand to new locations across Long Island, MGABA will continue to support individuals with autism spectrum disorders at their center-based locations, in school programs, and in the home and community.
The center is open from 9am-7pm, Monday through Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturday. MGABA is now accepting private health insurance. For more information visit the Marra & Glick website.
