Mathnasium of Forest Hills launched a new enrichment program last month. The program is a great option for students who have demonstrated proficiency in their grade levels and wish to build on their knowledge.
In addition to helping kids who may be struggling with math, “We also want to support kids who want to get ahead and really love math and want to explore it more,” says Kaitlin O’Neill, owner and Center Director of the Forest Hills location. Students in the enrichment program participate in sessions once a week on average, says O’Neill, who adds that the program schedules are very flexible to suit each student’s needs.
Mathnasium provides a unique approach to teaching math concepts across all ages and skill levels. Now in its second year at the Forest Hills location, the center offers students an unlimited monthly membership featuring individualized classes, expert instruction, and a flexible schedule.
“What makes [Mathnasium] unique is that we customize our students’ learning based on where they are rather than what grade they’re in,” says O’Neill. Each student receives a personalized learning plan based on an assessment they take when they first get to the center.
Also in the works is a plan to expand to a new location in Fresh Meadows. The details are yet to be finalized and visitors are invited to check back on the center’s website for more information coming soon.
