Melissa Errico

Singer, Broadway actress, and mom-of-three Melissa Errico has released two previously unreleased songs from the critically-acclaimed album “Lullabies and Wildflowers” to benefit Bowery Babes. The new single, “More Lullabies and Wildflowers” features the songs “How are Things in Glocca Mocca?” and “Maybe Someone Dreamed Us” from her previous album that was produced and arranged by 2015 Tony-nominee Rob Mathes. Proceeds from her single will benefit the Bowery Babes, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women from pregnancy to motherhood and beyond. Released four years ago, the album “Lullabies and Wildflowers” is a musical blend of folk and Celtic lullabies, which has been praised for being soothing and serene. The songs are meant to be a reflection of the journey to motherhood, as Errico was inspired by what she had experienced in the first years of being a mother to her three young daughters. “Motherhood changed my life in countless ways, and this music and these recordings were my attempt to capture how beautiful life felt,” she says.

Errico, a highly accomplished and versatile artist, has starred in seven Broadway musicals and has released three major solo CDs. She recently performed in the world premiere of the musical Bull Durham at The Alliance Theater and had begun to develop a new musical called Table with David Shire and Adam Gopnik. This year, Errico recorded her first film soundtrack “Hurry Home” for the film Max Rose starring Jerry Lewis. Some of her other singing accomplishments include singing with the Royal Philharmonic at the Palladium Theater in London as well as singing the National Anthem live for the US OPEN and other major sporting events at Madison Square Garden. When she is not singing, acting or being on stage, Errico is spending time with her family in Manhattan.
