A week of activities for kids in New York City to celebrate “The Peanuts Movie.”
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the beloved Peanuts are making their big-screen debut Nov. 6, and they’re celebrating all over New York City.
A slew of events are slated for the week leading up to The Peanuts Movie release, starting Saturday, Oct. 24 with the Prospect Park Alliance Halloween. From 12-3pm, there will be The Peanuts Movie drawing demonstrations, Snoopy selfies, face painting, and games and prizes. Thursday, Oct. 29, Find the Spirit of Snoopy at the ASPCA adoption center at 424 E. 92nd St., Snoopy and friends will be celebrating National Adopt a Shelter Dog month from 11am-12pm with dancing and doggy swag.
The celebration continues Saturday, Oct. 31, the NYU and CB2 25th Annual Children’s Halloween Parade in Washington Square Park will host a Peanuts moon-bounce house from 1-4pm. Tuesday, Nov. 3, NYC Parks’ Fall Field Day in Highbridge Park, Washington Heights, will host Snoopy sidewalk drawings, and The Peanuts Movie field game from 11am-3pm. Then head over to Times Square to snag a picture with Snoopy from 4-5pm.
Finally, Wednesday, Nov. 4 the Museum of the Movie Image will host a screening and filmmaker conversation at 7pm about how artists from Blue Sky Studios brought Charles M. Schulz’s cherished characters to life with state of the art 3-D animation.
