Love the thought of
exploring foreign cities but not so keen on the schlepping? You’re in luck! The
New York Public Library has made it easy with its Passport to Adventure Benefit on Sunday, January 22 from 10am-12noon. Bring the whole family to travel the world
from the
comfort of the historic Astor Hall (located within the Stephen A.
Schwarzman Building), all while supporting the NYPL’s prolific
programming, too. —
For a worthy ticket price of $150/adults and $75/kids, families will be transported to a multicultural
wonderland based on children’s books set in foreign countries.
Come enjoy:
%uFFFD Literary arts
and crafts
%uFFFD Story readings
%uFFFD Music, food
and cheer!
In addition to individual ticket prices, there are also six benefit
packages for families to choose from, all including a one-year membership to
The Library Cubs—a special membership group for fams with little ones under the
age of 10. These packages range in price from $1,000 to $15,000 with benefits
increasing as the price rises. A worthy expenditure regardless of the package
you choose.
By attending, you’ll be helping
to raise funds to support the services that are so vital (and increasingly diminishing)
in our children’s lives. The money raised guarantees that all 87 NYPL branches
continue to prosper, and ensures that the millions of kids in NYC served by the
New York Public Libraries will have a place to play, learn and laugh for years
to come.
New York Family is thrilled to be a media sponsor again this year. Hope to see you
there…read on!
