Pottery Barn Teen’s new collaboration with artist Zio Ziegler shows that it’s never too early to start back-to-school shopping, by offering a variety of products with intricate and colorful designs that will have kids rushing to the store this summer. Even the pickiest can find something they will like with five different backpacks and lunch cases, four laptop sleeves, and more to choose from.
Outside of school, kids can also give their own rooms a splash of personality with the collection’s artistic yet functional bedding, wall art, and décor. While Ziegler is known for his mural work and edgy street style, the collection fits well in any home. His graffiti-inspired artwork of tigers, skulls, and dragons have a bold, playful look rather than scary when paired with the other vivid colors and energetic patterns.
Ziegler’s artistic philosophy of making art “accessible in every way, in a variety of different forms,” shines through each piece. “Not everyone can afford to invest in art, yet this PBteen collection allows many more people to gain access to my work.,” he said. At the collection’s recent launch event, Ziegler revealed his newest installation for the Hudson River Middle School, another effort at giving kids the necessary access to art.
PBTeen stores nationwide release the collection, which runs a price range of $30 to $600, on June 6. There will also be giveaways on the PBteen Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter every Friday in June, on 6/6, 6/13, 6/20, and 6/27, so stay tuned!
