What’s a parent to do when the temperature outside is hovering around freezing, but the kids have a solid case of cabin fever? This winter, PBS KIDS is giving families a reason to bundle up and leave the house—the number one educational media brand for kids has announced the first-ever PBS KIDS Live! touring stage show. The show will tour throughout the U.S., with shows in Westbury, Stamford, Connecticut, and various locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
PBS KIDS Live! Really BIG tiny Adventure will be a live-action theatrical experience designed to support STEAM-based learning.
The show follows the story of three kids crossing their backyard to attend a friend’s birthday party. It becomes an unexpected adventure when the group gets shrunk to the size of grasshoppers. Will they solve all the really big, tiny challenges and grow full-size in time for the birthday fun?
In addition to the main show, families have access to a pre-show lobby experience, including augmented reality (AR) games, hands-on activities, and meet and greets with favorite PBS KIDS characters.
As the presenting sponsor of the PBS KIDS Live! Really BIG tiny Adventure, Zappos Adaptive, an inclusive shopping experience on Zappos.com, will also provide sensory-friendly kits to enhance the experience for audience members. Zappos will also sell official merchandise through an online retail destination, including an assortment of new adaptive apparel.
The U.S. tour kicks off on January 12 in Westbury. Presale tickets are on sale now, with tickets becoming available to the general public on Saturday, October 20.
