Canstruction
World Financial Center

Canstruction is an annual design competition with a twist. 25 teams of architects, engineers, and contractors compete to create structures made entirely out of unopened food cans. Afterwards, the cans are donated to City Harvest to feed the hungry of NYC. Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to bring an unopened can of food. Exhibition runs through February 11.
Grand Central Centennial Celebration

Grand Central Terminal is celebrating its 100th birthday and all are invited! All day the iconic train station will be the site of exhibits, special offers, live entertainment, food vendors, and more. Special guests include actress Cynthia Nixon and philanthropist Caroline Kennedy. Plus, don’t miss performances from the Knicks City Dancers and Kids and the Westchester Philharmonic Brass Octet. Admission is free.

Citibabes & Mama Glow’s Prenatal 101 Panel

Expectant parents are welcome to attend Citibabes and Mama Glow’s Prenatal 101 Panel. Hear from keynote speakers like Birth Day Presence owner Jada Shapiro, acupuncturist Angela Le, naturopathic doctor Dr. Laurie Brodsky, and others. All attendees will receive a gift bag and be entered into a raffle to win rad baby products. RSVP required; Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door.

BAMkids Film Festival

Little film fanatics of all ages are in for a treat at the 15th annual BAMkids Film Festival. This two-day film fest in Brooklyn will screen more than 75 movies from 24 countries and will feature live performances from the Deedle Deedle Dees and the Suzi Shelton Band. Tickets are required for all screenings and performances.
