G & T 101: What Every Parent Needs To Know About Gifted Education In NYC

AMNH’s Family Party
American Museum of Natural History

AMNH’s 19th Annual Family Party will feature a live animal show, Buddy from the children’s television show Dinosaur Train, and a magic show with Magic Al. Tickets start at $175 for adults and $85 for children.

“Ring A Ding Ding”
The New Victory Theater
Various times
The London stage company Oily Cart presents “Ring A Ding Ding,” a dynamic show about a girl named Alice in search of her lost dog. Audience participation encouraged! Musical accompaniment by George the Music Man. Runs through November 11. Suitable for children ages 3 through 5. Tickets start at $14.

Saturday, October 20

The Grinch’s Holiday Workshop
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
10am-5pm
Opening this weekend, CMOM’s Grinch’s Holiday Workshop would please even the Grinch himself. Activities include story time readings of classic Dr. Seuss books, a sleigh ride with Max the Dog, and Who-ville related arts and crafts. Runs through January 6. Free with museum admission.

Music comes to life during this interactive, free concert-class taught by professional musicians. Kids ages 3 through 6 will learn all about classical music in only 45 minutes!
