Pink Canary Desserts opened in June 2014 as a cupcake shop in Long Island City, but has since evolved into a specialty desserts and confectionary design studio and event space, says new owner Amy Stack.
Despite the shift, Pink Canary Desserts still bakes treats available for purchase in the shop, including cookies, cupcakes, and brownies, with gluten free and vegan options. Special dessert orders for parties, showers, meetings, and other events are also available.
“The original owner wanted a specialty dessert shop in the neighborhood,” Stack says. “They worked with the community to create something their taste buds wanted.”
Stack took over midsummer 2015, and has expanded the business by creating more custom confections for birthday parties, special occasions, christenings, and showers, as well as hosting events and monthly workshops.
