Project Nursery’s Arrow Bedding Collection by Carousel Design

Project Nursery, a go-to guide for design minded parents everywhere, recently launched a new shop that feels like a Pinterest board gone retail. With inspiring flawlessly designed wall decor, personalized jewelry, nursing scarves, on-trend diaper bags, and more the Project Nursery shop makes nursery decor a whole lot more chic. We sat down with Project Nursery co-founders Pam Ginocchio and Melisa Fluhr to hear more about the blog and their newest adventure!

What inspired you to start Project Nursery? How has the site evolved over the years?

Like so many bloggers, we started Project Nursery as a way to share ideas about nursery design. Back in 2008, there weren’t a lot of resources online to help parents plan and design the nursery. Melisa and I were both in the thick of having children and we knew how personal and important that “nesting” phase was. We wanted to share beautiful and sophisticated design ideas that would work with the rest of our homes. Since then, Project Nursery has grown into a thriving community and platform for today’s modern parents to share their children’s spaces and with over 100,000 images of real nurseries, it’s filled with tons of inspiration! The Project Nursery Shop was a natural progression and something that our readers have been asking us for a while now.

Why did you decide to launch the shop now and what kinds of things did you consider when deciding what to include?

Launching the shop was really a no-brainer. We were continually asked by our readers where they could purchase items for the nursery so we decided it was time to answer their requests and open our own online shop. We were especially mindful not to become just another online baby boutique with all the same products. Instead, we created a highly curated experience with a focus on exclusively designed products and unique items for the nursery. We have also hand selected key items for new moms and baby such as gifts, baby shower decor and maternity pieces.

What upcoming trends can we expect this fall/winter?

We are seeing Aztec-influenced prints everywhere these days! Arrows, triangles and feathers are showing up in nursery bedding and decor. We collaborated with Carousel Designs and created a gorgeous coral Arrow Bedding Collection which is really on-trend. We love it!

Can you tell us about two or three hot products we can keep an eye out for in the shop?

Our selection of exclusive Art Prints are fun and affordable. For $20 you can have a perfect print to decorate those nursery walls. If you are looking to create a glamorous nursery, you’ll be smitten with our Newport Cottages exclusive white Beverly Crib with black trim. So luxe! Also, our monogrammed Initial and Blocks Stroller Blanket is really the perfect baby shower gift.
