Raine and Riley’s, a children’s boutique, moved within Bay Ridge and opened its new, larger location in July. The store sells clothes for kids from brands such as Mud Pie as well as its own custom-made clothing line, featuring bright pops of color and soft, natural fabrics.
“A majority of our items are handmade in the U.S.,” says owner Sarah Oszust.
Oszust says she started Raine and Riley’s out of a desire to “change the stereotypical ideals of retail [and] create an environment that would aid in the expression of every child’s unique and individual characteristics.” She strives to create pieces that are one-of-a-kind and unique to a child’s personality.

From rock star fashion to princess tutus and dresses, Raine and Riley’s strives to offer the perfect blend of eclectic style and comfort. The store also carries mommy-and-me clothing and accessories for parents wanting to match the style of their little ones. With Raine and Riley’s focus on custom-made pieces with an emphasis on detail and originality, parents and children can use their imagination to design their own style and look.
“Raine and Riley’s has something for everyone,” Oszust says.
Raine and Riley’s will also be offering classes in the fall. Parents can meet their children on the mat for a relaxing session of yoga or settle down together for story time. Weekend classes will also include face painting, crafting, and music exploration.
