This future Rockette had the best time ever at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. And they don’t call it spectacular for nothing—it is out of this world. Kiddos take your grown-ups straight to Radio City and prepare to be mesmerized and to have your hearts warmed with holiday spirit. The sensational show showcases the Rockettes in holiday numbers that will have you singing and dancing along. The whole holiday experience at Radio City was off the charts thanks to a stellar show with fun surprises like gigantic flying snowflakes, a visit to the North Pole and sassy Santas! What more could you want?
The show started off with a virtual, 3-D sleigh ride. It was a wild ride turned into a dream come true as Santa landed his sleigh right here in NYC at the show. He personally welcomed us and then the Rockettes roused the crowd to “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” I was rocking right along with the Rockettes. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, each show-stopping number had me at the edge of my seat and watching in awe. There were teddy bears and animal friends dancing “The Nutcracker Suite” along with a little lady on pointe who Mommy said was Clara. I want to be just like her when I’m older! Who wouldn’t want to wear a beautiful, ballerina costume and dance on pointe with the ballet bears at Radio City? From the classic wooden soldier number to a modern double-decker bus ride around Manhattan, the Rockettes took us on a ride to remember.
And it was only the beginning.
Santa next took us on a heartwarming journey where we learned the true spirit of the season through a tale of two brothers. It made everyone believe in the magic. Here Comes Santa played as Santa and his countless helpers kept appearing one after one showing us how Santa is always watching (it’s a good thing I have been nice!). We also took an enchanted journey to the North Pole to visit Santa’s workshop to find the perfect gift. Do you think we found it?
The scenes and stories leading up to the grand finale took us through the snow in a “White Christmas” with the Rockettes in sparkly, sequin snowflake costumes, and with snow falling down from above. It was a beautiful blizzard full of metallic ribbons and winter white snow. Plus, there was a living nativity complete with real animal. There were camels and donkeys and sheep, oh my! And we all sang “Joy to the World” for the grand finale. It was simply breathtaking.
The Radio City Christmas Spectacular had me singing and dancing the whole time while making my new Rockette doll dance along with the stars of the show. From start to finish, I was in awe of the scenery that filled the entire theatre from the floor to ceiling and everything in between; the extraordinary costumes and captivating special effects; the one and only Rockettes; and the one and only Santa Claus. I loved it so much and cannot wait for it to become a new family Christmas tradition.
This little Rockette in training knows you will want to holiday rock with the Rockettes, too.
