On August 1, Shutterfly and Baby2Baby teamed up to host a backpack drive just in time for the back-to-school season. The event took place at Versa in Manhattan. Rachel Zoe, fashion designer and Baby2Baby Board Member, and Mindy Weiss, Shutterfly’s Style Partner were in attendance to help fellow guests fill backpacks with school supplies––including products from Shutterfly’s new Kids Collection, benefitting the low-income children Baby2Baby serves in the New York and New Jersey areas.
Shutterfly has been a Baby2Baby supporter since 2014, donating over $1.5 million and helping Baby2Baby distribute over 39 million items, making a positive impact on hundreds of thousands of low-income children spanning across the country this year alone.
During the event, guests filled 250 custom backpacks from Shutterfly with back-to-school essentials, which included pencil cases, folder, notebooks, bookmarks, and more from Shutterfly’s Kids Collection.
“This partnership with Baby2Baby and Shutterfly means so much to us and to these kids. I get super emotional when I talk about it. As an adult, there are so many things that matter, but honestly as a kid, your backpack and what is inside of it, is everything. This is so much more meaningful than you even know”, says Zoe .
Baby2Baby is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides low-income children, ages 0-12 years old, with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that a child deserves. Backpacks are some of the most requested items for these kids.
