Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park, recently opened a second Long Island location in Mount Siani. The fitness facility for families offers a range of classes including a toddler trampoline fitness class and a special needs jump time.
Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park, opened its Mount Sinai location in December 2014. Also located in Deer Park, the park aims to promote active, healthy lifestyles in kids as young as 18 months to adults who are 99 years old.
Julie Brach, the general manager of the Mount Sinai location, says the great thing about Sky Zone is that it caters to a wide range of ages for a relatively low cost.
The park offers a range of activity programs including Toddler Time, Ultimate Dodgeball, and Special Needs Jump Time. Toddler Time is a specialized program that promotes healthy, active habits for children as young as 18 months. During this time, children can explore different ways to be active in Sky Zone’s patented safe system. To join, children must be at least 40 inches tall and able to walk.
Sky Zone’s Ultimate Dodgeball is one of several activities that combine sports with the park’s wall-to-wall trampolines. Other programs include Sky Slam, Sky Zone’s basketball, and Skyrobics, a low-impact aerobics fitness class. These programs are designed for all ages, but are limited to when space is available.
Special Needs Jump Time is the first Monday of every month from 3-6pm. Contact Sky Zone for more information.
“Sky Zone’s mission is to promote healthy fun,” Brach says. “For us, we really wanted to cater to the east end of Long Island because we found that opportunity in the community there. We’re really excited to introduce ourselves in Mount Sinai.”
