March 9
The Craic
The Irish Arts Center presents The Kids Film Fleadh where kids can learn about Irish music, stories, and dilm! There will be storytelling with special guests Honor Molly and John Liam Shea along with the best award-winning children’s short films such as Pete Hate, Bird Food, and Thin Ice. Plus, an Irish step dancing performance will conclude the show!
Irish Dance Party
With live music featuring Niall O’Leary and dancers from the Niall O’Leary School of Irish Dance, you and your little ones will not only learn some new music but also be up on your feet! Come and watch this free performance while learning a new dance steps along the way.
March 16
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
What’s a celebration without a parade? Watch one of the world’s largest annual parades marching up Fifth Avenue starting at 11am. Be sure to check out each borough, because all five will be having their own celebrations as well. Get ready for lots of bagpipe music and plenty of participants!
Big Onion Walking Tours
Dive into some Irish history by visiting the former “Little Ireland” district of the Lower East Side with a special tour of St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. This family friendly tour will explain why St. Patrick’s Day is more popular here in the city than in Ireland!
