Summer Playstreets Begins Monday, July 6

During the summer months, the Police Athletic League (PAL) offers the Summer Playstreets Program, which closes designated streets across the city to provide city kids with space to get out and play. Since 1914, PAL has designated Playstreets  throughout the five boroughs to create a safe environment where kids can play games like hopscotch  or basketball, and participate in cultural and arts activities as well as prevention education. This year, the program will operate from July 6 through August 21 on weekdays from 8 am to 5pm.
