Traveling with a large family can be difficult. Trying to figure out where to go, where to stay, what to eat, what to do, the list never seems to end. Embassy Suites and Brooke Burke-Charvet have partnered up to create ways to make vacationing more enjoyable for the whole family!
Along with a great deal of moms out there, Burke-Charvet is a working mom (of four kids, no less). As the former co-host of “Dancing with the Stars” (of which she was also the season 7 winner) and, as of recently, a guest star on ABC Family’s sitcom “Melissa and Joey,” Burke-Charvet has found a special balance between work and family.
“I love working and I’m committed to my career but as much time as I spend with that, I think I am more devoted to my family and I always put them first,” Burke-Charvet says. “It works out that work-life balance.”
And she with her attitude that family time is the best time, it’s no surprise that her recent partnership with Embassy Suites is a great fit! Whether you are flying to another country or staying local, Embassy Suites has families covered and guarantees fun for families with kids of all ages. Embassy Suites accommodates families of all sizes. They offer two-room suites to give parents and children enough space to be alone, a made to order complimentary breakfast with a wide array of food to take care of those picky eaters, and a complimentary reception with drinks and snacks at night.
“I think it really boils down to where you’re going and then choosing the right hotel as well, which is why this campaign is a good fit for us,” Burke-Charvet explains.
Burke-Charvet and Embassy Suites also feel strongly about giving families useful tips for planning a great vacation, which lead to Burke-Charvet’s awesome list of #PrettyGreat Family Travel Tips. The tips include:
*Take time to talk
*Own a day
*Live to learn
*Pack a goodie bag
*Stay in a sweet suite
*Pass the camera
*Fuel up on breakfast
“I think it’s great to plan a trip together as a family–those family brainstorming sessions really help,” Burke-Charvet says. “I want to make sure that every family member gets a voice.”
Burke-Charvet also runs the website, ModernMom–which is full of greatblogs, recipes, and more. The site is constantly changing as social media changes and content sites grow, Burke-Charvet says.
“I think ModernMom is not a new way of parenting because I have a lot of old-fashioned values, but it’s sort of a term that a lot of us can relate to, a lot of working moms,” Burke-Charvet explains. “It’s been fun very authentic.”
Burke-Charvet also admitted her “addiction to social media” and finds writing–especially her personal blog–to be therapeutic. Her personal posts are relatable and relevant. They are full of advice and lessons that she has learned from experience, she says, adding: “I’m always sharing advice and I’m fortunate enough to partner with companies that I believe in what they’re doing.”
