The Day School At Christ & Saint Stephen’s Opens Its Doors To All

Join The Day School at Christ & Saint Stephen’s for its open houses, on Tuesday, October 16, and Tuesday, November 6, from 6pm to 7pm. The school boasts a low student-teacher ratio, structured days that still allow ample time to explore, strong family partnerships, and a values-based community-oriented environment. They thrive on the belief that children should be both emotionally happy and engaged in meaningful activities and welcome families of any religion, race, sex, and ethnic origin.

The school’s educational philosophy aims to teach children ages 2-5 skills that will push them beyond traditional thinking and turn them into analytic, curious, and compassionate humans. The goal is for students to develop expertise that will serve them well beyond their pre-K years and into adulthood. The school’s curriculum is broken down into five main components: emotional intelligence, practical skills, manipulative activities, mathematics, and language. They also offer specialized classes such as: music, cooking, crafts, drama, and chapel. For pre-kindergartners enrolled in the school, extended days are also available.

With a curriculum that blends both conventional and progressive subject matter, this learning facility promotes social and emotional development as well as the desire to think more dynamically. The Day School, located on 122 West 69th Street between Broadway and Columbus, is entering its second year of operation. thedayschoolatcss.org
