This Sunday: 8th Annual Carnival For A Cure

The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation is inviting your family to join the fight against diabetes with its  eighth annual Carnival for a Cure. The fundraiser will be held on March 10 at the Metropolitan Pavilion from 1-4pm and will have plenty of family-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy.

There’ll be a wide range of food choices—everything from Dominos Pizza, Smoke ‘N Pit BBQ, and Chop’t Salad Company to Pretzel Crisps, Chobani Yogurt, and Edible Arrangements. And giveaway prize drawings include LEGO and Alex Toys packages, a birthday party package at Chelsea Piers, tennis lessons, vacation packages, and much, much more. With CBS News Anchor Chris Wragge as emcee, activities at the fundraiser will include Joel Klein and his Big Head Balloons, Dr. Molar Magic Clowns, arts and crafts, face painting, and a whole host of arcade games to choose from. Plus, every child will get to take home a special gift from Disney.

While we’re sure you’ll have a good time, we’re positive that you’ll be supporting a good cause. Proceeds from the event will support the Institute’s goal to put an end to diabetes. Recognized for its work on an international stage, the Diabetes Research Foundation is the world leader in cure-focused diabetes research.

Even if you can’t attend the Carnival for a Cure, you can still make a difference in the lives of millions of people with a donation.
