"The Titanosaur" Exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History
Starting this Friday, visitors to the American Museum of Natural History can see a cast of one of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered! When it lived approximately 100 million years ago, this “titanosaur” (a dino species so newly unearthed that its paleontologists have yet to formally give it a name) is believed to have weighed in at a whopping 70 tons and measured 122 feet in length. The gigantic herbivore will reside on the museum’s fourth floor for the next four years. (Opens Friday) -

Thunderbird American Indian Dancers at Flushing Town Hall
Attend a performance by the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers at Flushing Town Hall! Founded 52 years ago, the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers were started by a group of teens who learned the songs and dances of their tribes in order to preserve them. Performers use the traditional movements, clothing, and instruments of the Iroquois, Northeast Woodlands and Southwest tribes and the Great Plains people. They'll also host a pre-show workshop during which families can learn the Robin Dance from the Iroquois Nation. (Saturday) -
